Finding a self storage unit is reasonably easy - there are directories and helpful resources all over the place. The question is what sort of storage would be most suitable for you. The choice can be fairly extensive these days, ranging from a simple locker to an empty room the size of a garage, and bigger options exist.
For most people it's just a case of measuring up the volume of the items they want to store and then making a decision. However, some might have items to store that are affected by heat, light, humidity and goodness knows what else, so climate controlled solutions may need to be explored. If you are storing these items though, remember that the onus is on you for ensuring they are in a storable condition in the first place - furniture and vehicles will need treating in particular ways to ensure what comes out is in the same perfect state as what went in.
